Pat Love, Ed.D., a graduate of West Virginia University, began her professional career as a Counsellor Educator at Texas A & M University, in the field of Marriage and Family Therapy. She went on to found the Austin Family Institute where she continues to train, supervise, write and lecture. She has published several professional articles and has authored five best selling books, including her most recent book, When Women Talk, Men Walk, co-authored with Dr. Steven Stosny.
Dr Love has appeared on every major talk show including several appearances on The Oprah Winfrey Show and on the NBC Today Show. She has been featured in numerous magazines including Cosmopolitan, Glamour, New Woman, Self, Men’s Health, Men’s Magazine, Redbook, New York Times Sunday Magazine, Good Housekeeping and the cover of Reader’s Digest. Her humorous style and wealth of information make her a very popular speaker and trainer. She is a regularly featured keynote speaker at state and national conferences throughout the United States, Canada and Europe.
Dr Pat Love is known for her dynamic teaching style and empathic workshop presentations. Pat is a professional counsellor and Clinical Member/ Approved Supervisor in The American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy. She is also the past President of the International Association for Marriage and Family Counselling and author of The Emotional Incest Syndrome, How To Ruin A Perfectly Good Relationship, and Hot Monogamy and the Truth About Love.
