Anxiety Treatment

The Answers:

Step One: Learn about the problem

By taking the time to seek out this information, and read it, you are already engaged in the first step toward dealing with an anxiety disorder – facing the problem head on, accessing information about how anxiety disorders present, and how to get treatment for it.

You have done well to get here!

Congratulations - the journey into recovery has already begun, though it may not feel that way!

Taking that first step in acknowledging that there may be a problem is often the darkness before the dawn.

Step two: Seek professional assessment, advice & support

A feature of anxiety disorders is that people have often spent a long time trying to deal with the problem on their own before seeking help, usually with limited success.

Reaching out to talk about the problem with people who specialize in the treatment of anxiety is the next step.

To make this step as easy as we can, SPP offers a free comprehensive assessment during which the issues are discussed either face to face or over the phone, and you learn about the treatment options and resources

The Family Education & Support Group

Families are often so willing to do anything they can to help the person they care about who is caught in the grip of an anxiety disorder! Anxiety disorders impact the whole family and by the time people find their way to us at SPP they are usually exhausted by the challenges of managing life while struggling with untreated anxiety. Current research, our experience and outcome studies all tell us that clients embrace recovery from anxiety disorders more effectively when family members also have the opportunity to engage in educational and support programs designed to meet their needs.

Step Three: Holistic Treatment

South Pacific Private has a comprehensive and holistic approach to the treatment of anxiety disorders. All our treatment programs treat co-existing issues such as addictions and depression, and the underlying core issues, trauma, and family dynamics, which may have fuelled the development, or exacerbated the severity of, the current issues, at the same time as addressing the problematic symptoms of anxiety.

SPP has 20 years of experience in treating anxiety related conditions in our inpatient program and we also offer day programs to provide comprehensive clinical care for people in the community, allowing you to remain at home and at work while being treated for anxiety.

The South Pacific Private treatment program for anxiety disorders offers holistic & integrated assessment and treatment planning, psychiatric review, psychological assessment across the duration of treatment, and a psychotherapeutic program that has been designed utilizing evidence-based clinical practice and internationally recognized treatments that work.

A multi-disciplinary team of psychiatrists, psychologists, general practitioners, registered nurses, psychotherapists and allied health professionals supervises all SPP programs.
